I'm posting an addition to the top of Deb's response since the original post didn't come over when I moved it to the Main Coin forum. Basically, we're organizing an informal get-together for Arizona CC members probably sometime in mid- to later October and possibly in Buckeye as a central location. Looking for dates when everyone is available and suggestions where to meet, possibly for lunch. - Morgan Fred

I'll let you guys decide when and where. Remember though I don't know much about AZ except Mesa. We haven't had much free time to explore!

I'm in though and am anxious for our get-together!!!

Sounds like a good idea. I do have 2 weeks set aside in October for hunting

I will be Turkey hunting 10/11 thru 10/15
I will be Deer hunting 10/25 thru 10/29

I live in the Glendale area and have no problem where ever it is decided to meet. If my dates clash with anyones schedule, I will understand and maybe attend the next meeting.

Tim
Rest in Peace

There's wild Turkey in Arizona? They're native back in my native New York state, but I would never have guessed it for out here. Deer and especially elk I've seen by the hundreds (Upper and Lower Lake Mary, Coconino Co). But Turkey? They feed on mast from hardwoods and roost in deciduous trees which I haven't found here... yet. Where are the Turkey? I'd a put them in the same category as Brook Trout in AZ. I gotta see them for myself . And buy some #4 or larger shot for the Ithaca .

Hi Fred,
We go up to Jacobs Lake on the North rim of the Grand Canyon. I know it is far for a Bird but my 2 boys and I have great fun and we each usually tag one every year. I have also seen them by Williams (Devil Dog Rd) south of I40. We go Deer and Elk hunting off Devil Dog road and see them all the time. Maybe I will post a picture when I come back..

Tim
