I inherited these from my grandpa and he told me I needed to hang on to them because they could be worth something someday.

Ive looked through my Red Book and other various price guides and it seems like the price on these puppies varies alot.

I was just curious as to what you fellow coin collectors might graded these two coins.

Coin #1

1864-Two-Cent

1864-Two-Cent

Coin #2

1864-Two-Cent

1864-Two-Cent

Any input on these coins would be greatly appreciated! thanks for taking the time to look

It appears the bottom coin has a repunched date? I remember seeing something somewhere about those, I think it was here. Someone else will chime in on that I'm sure.
Rest in Peace

This oldtimer grades #1 as VF and #2 as XF. The surface issues, environmental, on #2 might cause it to be valued as a lower grade, say the equivalent of a Fine or VF. That said, #2 does appear to have a repunched date which would add a modest amount to its value; thus, XF overall. Just my Two Cents worth ...

P.S. - These Civil War era coins were the first to mention God ... historic and intrinsic value therein!
