This is another medallion I picked up and I am hoping someone might have some information on it. I believe it is aluminum.

It is approximately 38mm in diameter and weighs in at 8.1 grams (9.6g minus 2x2).

The legend on the bottom reverse is shown here. It appears to say 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd. B'Ham'.

Is this common on this medallion. Although it appears to be uncirculated, and the rim shows no wear whatsoever, the leaves along the right side seem like they have been smoothed over. The left hand side leaves do not show this as bad, but it is there.

You're welcome!

I had to point xshift in the right direction the other day, too.

I did receive a response from the company, but it was not good news.

Unfortunately we can't access records of your particular medal as our resources are very limited.

I have attached a George V coronation medal leaflet which illustrates similar aluminium medals that may be of interest and which were made around that time.

Would it be OK to add your images to records?

Kind regard

I told them yes. Almost willing to pay the $10 for this one now.

Ok, I broke down and bought both this medal and the 1911 medal. I paid $15 for the pair.

Congrats on your new addition to the family! Seems a fair price to me.
