Online Number Checking

I am interested in ANACS providing an online way to check to see if a particular certification number is correct. A way to look up a coin's certification number and check to see if that number corresponds to a coin that I have seen for sale on ebay would be a great security measure for your customers/future customers, especially since the company has been in a number of different hands and the slab's look has changed a large number of time.

Is there any chance of something like this occurring? If so what kind of timetable is there and if not, why not, are there barriers I'm not aware of?
