They have a theoretical value but NO REFINERS are taking them without a huge discount. They are worth 25 cents perhaps - provided you can find a market. In fact any coin 60% and lower sells for lower rates.

I went to Aculpaco in the 60`s and bought a ring with a 1947 2 1/2 peso gold. A I also have a 1895 one peso silver dollar sized. And a 1785 2 reale Carolnus III silver. I dont know much about the Mexican coinage. I know the 2 1/2 peso gold is melt value but the others are to beautiful to melt, esp. the 1 peso.
Any info will be appreciated.

I also have 2 from Panama a 1947 1/2 and a 1931 1/4 Balboa silver that are gorgeous coins. Back when they made attractive coins both US and Foreign.

The 1895 coin would be an 8 Reales - the Peso was produced starting in 1898. To evaluate any of the coins a clear phot would be needed.
