GRR Valued Member United States 310 Posts	Posted 02/24/2011 7:45 pm I'll tell ya the $10 gold is worth melt value($678 as of today) because it's been damaged by being made into jewelery. The $20 gold looks a little better, but looks like it may have some rim hits. It's a common date, so it may be only worth melt too($1356), but don't quote me on the one. Think the $20 could be in the $1500-$1700 range if it's not damaged. Report this Post to the Staff

The $10 Eagle is likely in a gold bezel and damaged because of it so you need to calculate the total gold weight to establish a value. I'd guess $750 from the image. The Double Eagle would be worth about twice that amount or $1500 (estimated). If you were trying to sell both these pieces on the wholesale market, put a $2100 price on them as a minimum.
