My son works full time, goes to school full-time, and generally has his hand out for $$. He is sking at Bogus Basin this weekend. He wanted money for a lift ticket. Instead of handing it over, I pointed to a stack of boxes. He picked the choicest pieces for a day and most the night. Results:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...TRK:MESOX:IT
He accumulated a roll of '97 D's also, which he got 19. + S&H for.
I think the days of helping-out are coming to an end. This was a very proud moment for me. I think I've created a monster.

Next comes the lesson about putting two things into the box for every one thing you remove from it...

It's a great occasion, though!

Yes, seemingly. There was a roll of 82-P on ebay a week ago with a BIN of 320.00!

Sorry to say your story is far, far from original. I'll bet that way, way back some caveman was telling his Son to help with the skinning of a dinosaur and he was to busy staring at a new wall painting he just did.
Why should any kid do anything their parents tell or ask them to do since parents just don't know anything.

Yes, you should be proud of what you've created. But, take a moment - go wander into the bathroom, look in the mirror and be proud of what you see there, too. The lesson you've just taught is multidimensional, complex and very, very valuable in real life. And you taught it to a kid who already has the chops to do both work and school full-time.

You da man, fioti.

Buying and selling, the greatest opportunity for personal wealth accumulation there is.

There's always somebody out there with more money than time.
