I got this small (15mm) medal with the depiction of St. George? slaying a dragon, and Maria Theresia D.G. I've been told it's made around 1890, but I cannot find any info on it... Hopefully someone can clear things up for me. It's not magnetic, and I don't know what it's made of

it's a charm, or costume-ornament, designed to look like a a British sovereign.
The portrait is similar to the one adopted on Queen Victoria's coinage in 1893, but the legend is completely wrong.
If it weren't for the suspender-ring, I'd say that it's probably a gaming token, but the suspension leads me to think that this was intended be worn. Belli-dancers decorate their costumes with coins, or replicas thereof, for instance ...

Thanks Peter,

I also asked the seller for some more info, and he told these coins/tokens/medals whatever... were given away in that time period when people purchased chocolate bonbons. But that is all I know about it, so I do think it was made in that timeframe... correct me if I'm wrong
