Ok so we've all looked through those "take a penny, give a penny" buckets at restaurants and such. Well my fiancee works at dairy queen and I was looking through their bucket like I always do and I found this.....

Can anyone tell me whats going on with this coin? I have seen a few coins like this here and there but this one really seemed to stand out.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

found something very similar not a short while ago but it turns out the plating wore off of natural causes.
Rest in Peace

Five minutes and a bottle of nitric acid and you can make all youb want. Extremely doubtful that wear would do it that completely.

Want a Zincoln without an inside? A tiny nick, butyric acid and a few days will do it, or hold one over a hot flame and melt it out.

I find those occasionally while searching and just throw them back....the only thing that would make me hesitate is if it looked BU or before 82...then I might investigate.

won't happen. If you don't crush the shell you will find that when the zinc liquifies it will dissolve the copper shell.
