I have been using a Nikon D-40. I am not getting results I thought I should get. The first photo is as taken with no software adjustments. The second is using edit features in photobucket. These photo's do not do the coin justice. The coin has nice mirror like features in the field, which does not show at all.
Try natural lighting outside or near a window.I do know that proof & proof like coins are difficult to photo. I'm sure some others will have suggestions also.
