I have a favorite Antique Mall where I live, and I usually get some really good deals... Today when I got there, I actually talked to the person who rents this little favorite coin stand o' mine because he was restocking his case. And to my bewilderment, this caught my eye...

I even asked him if he was sure about the price, and told him that the coin is silver. He just said, "oops, ya might wanna get that one then"... He mislabeled it, and he actually let me have it! I only had $5 in my pocket, and I told him to at least take what I had, because honestly I would've felt horrible if I didn't. I do anyway, but I gave him all the cash I had on me... Last week, I pulled a 1939 Lincoln Wheat 10-20% Off-Center out of circulation, now this! In the box, with COA, a 1992 White House Commemorative!

Very nice!

I hope you do not take offense, but I moved your post to the US Commemorative forum.

no offense taken jbuck... I guess the excitement got the best of me... I know this commem isn't the greatest one of all time(IMO), but with silver as high as it is, I was giddy like a lil' schoolgirl

That is a very good pick up. May I be the 1st to say "My hat is off to you for informing the seller about the coin."

And the best thing is this hot spot is owned by someone who owns a coin shop farther away, yet still in my state. He sells only top of the line stuff(big $$) in his shop then brings the rest to sell at this antique market. It's probably the fairest priced stuff I have ever seen, with a lot of gems in there, and some junk silver way under today's spot. They know me by name in there and he has one thing business owners strive for... customer loyalty

No problem! Many do not realize there is a commemorative forum, so I like to point it out from time to time.
