Hi, new to the forum. I bought this at a garage sale for .50. Dont know what origin it is. Has a couple of marks on it that can't be removed. Dont think its real gold. Any ideas.

G'day & welcome.
The script looks like Arabic, but I don't know what it says.
The images remind me of "The Rock" which is one of the objects to be venerated during a pilgrimage to Mecca. The pilgrimage as known as "The Haj". This might be a medallion that a pilgrim brings home for his friends ...

Yes, and in Persian numerals on the front it's from year 2009.
