I have very little experience with grading Ikes, and PCGS doesn't have them on photograde, so any help would be great.

It has a great strike and I certainly bow to an Ike expert but the whole coin confuses me a bit. First, I don't see any wear but wow, has he been smacked around; lots of bag marks. Next, it almost looks like soneone tried to put some message beneath the eagles's left wing. If that's not PMD, and it's just an opinion, but I'd say MS-62 maybe 63.

I would call it MS-60, it's the rarer Type 2, all those hits set it back. It's a shame that had to happen to a Type 2, pretty hard to find... Just my opinion, as I am no expert...

As far as that message under the left wing goes, it is not visible in hand, so I doubt it would qualify as PMD
