The easiest sign is a loop in the letter "R" in "PLURIBUS" But it's not always there. I'd love to buy a Henning. Been looking for one without luck. Report this Post to the Staff

rkrj Valued Member United States 277 Posts	Posted 03/04/2011 12:41 am I just went through a box of nickels and have about 35 to 40 chances... my eyes hurt and I am too tired to check them tonight but if I find one I will post it. pyrbob Rest in Peace United States 1943 Posts	Posted 03/04/2011 08:54 am The only book is "The Counterfeit 1944 Jefferson nickel" by Dwight H Stuckey. It is from 1982 and is a card cover 32 page booklet that tells the story of Henning and his nickels. It doesn't go into details for telling the difference between his nickels and the genuine mint nickels. It is hard to find. I bought mine in a Kolbe auction. Report this Post to the Staff
