Having found but one of the 1909 VDB DDO's in about ten years of searching, I don't think that the one posted will cut muster for certification. The one I found had obious doubling on the date and on liberty. The doubling was quite pronounced, easily recognizeable and not shadowy, as the pics seem to suggest. The one I found was certified by NGC and graded MS-63 RB. It possessed an appealing "electric blue" color.
I was thinking maybe a late stage die doubling because of that alos. I have a 1909 vdb coin also that blue too, I thought it was dipped into somethin by some goof but it is the actual color of the coin so I wasnt sure. Thanks for the info Exo!
