Found this today in a roll of old pennies from the 40-50's with a bunch of 1965's in it. I am sure that this is a SB variety but the beads of the right side of the obverse seem to have been from a weak strike? They are almost half beads and then wear done in the 4-5 o'clock area...would like some input on this :)

So far I have 9 SB and 4 LB's and am checking on the 5 as some of them seem pointed but it is hard to tell...

Some new scanned images...
I'm now on the fence with it being 50/50 on the SB/LB but am leaning to SB. There is MD on the right of the coin as evident in the scanned blow-up. Wondering what causes this? Weak strike?

Looking at all the markers it seems to be LB!! Congratz!
I have found 3 of these LB P5's, but very little SB.... They seem uncommon for me
Just post em up, I'll take a look!

Thanks Meldude! What do you think this would grade with those few smacks across the Queens face? Also would that MD on the rim affect anything?

I have to admit, I'm not big on searching pennies, but you guys have me curious. I pulled 3 rolls of circulated 65's out of a magic box of coins I rolled in the 70's, let's see what I find, I'll keep a tally by type once I sort them out and report back here with pictures from the three rolls.

Ugly,
Can not wait to see! That's 150 pennies of 65's and put away in the 70's :). I think it is the hunt of the penny rolls and the rush of finding something that makes it worth it aside from going buggy-eyed and the occasional sore arms and neck lol. Good luck!

It seems to be EF, the MAD doesn't add value. It's too slight.
Ugly, I bet there will be at least 1 BU LG bead P5 in there! It's $65 MS-63!

OK just to report back, there was a nice assortment of both large and small bead 65 cents, BUT only one pointed five in the whole three rolls and it was SB. I know for a fact I did not search these rolls in the 70's. What happened was I had been selling some produce at the sale barn that summer to make money and then instead of cashing in the pennies I sorted them and rolled them by year. So they were pulls from common change but no luck.
