Well time will tell if that was a good deal or not. It certainly doesn't look like it right now, but with only 10,000 of those coins around, I think the long term prices will be pretty high. Even paying $4,000 for the entire set may look like a brilliant buy in a few years.

The First Strike stuff is what bothers me the most on the recent coin gradings. I still find that so dishonest. But, as was mentioned above, someone is willing to buy into that hype and pay the premium for it.

Forget $4,000 for now. Here is an auction that just closed for $5,125!! I think the buyer is a dentist, but it's only a guess based on the screen name.
