I am no expert by any means with these coins and I need one for my dansco 7070 and was wondering if anyone that knows the series can see anything wrong with this coin. And if its good what is it worth in this condition?

The photos look like the lighting's off or something like that. I can't quite put my finger on it. It kinda looks like the photo's been messed with a bit.

That is a very nice looking bust half Bryan. My own opinion is that it is just the beauty of the toning making it look the way it is. They probably used a fairly bright light when they took it. I don't see much that would keep me from buying it (well, if I had the money). I would estimate the grade to be at least MS-64 or MS-65 if not higher. In a MS-63 grade if you can get it for under $2K and you can afford it then I would go for it. Current RedBook says $1,600 for MS-63, but the way the US coin market is right now that is lowball for sure and since this one is a higher grade than that IMHO then $2K would be a great deal. How much are they wanting if you don't mind me asking? Good luck to you on it. It would be a nice coin to have.

That's the pits because that is a really nice coin. Lots of people missed out on that one. That would really look nice in a type set especially.

I'm guessing that's an AU coin, just beginning to tone after a not-so-old cleaning. The tops of the wings and tips of the feathers show less detail than MS examples of the issue, as do the hair highlights on the obverse.

Of course, a weak strike could be responsible for the effect, also, and I'm not good enough with this issue to be sure. It pays to note that the seller mentions in the auction description that the coin does show wear - did anybody notice that?

There is no way those are original surfaces if the coin is not MS, and I don't think it's MS, nor does the seller. My guess is AU55 Cleaned, with a realistic value around $200 due to the cleaning.
