I'm hoping I can buy some paper money, not collectible for any reason other than I have 7 young grand kids that I would like to make a starter collection of paper dollars for.I need seven $2 bills not to well used and seven each of the older $5-$10-$20-$50-$100 not all at once, maybe $100 at a time once a month or so.I don't mind paying a little over face value and mailing costs.I will pay by personal check, bank check, postal check or credit card if accepted.thank you gasman96 PS I hope there are some buddies out there

What years are you looking for on these notes. I believe you can still get $2 bills at the bank. If your are looking for silver certificates? If so you will be best served with what thatstuffisjanky said.

No local coin shops in 120 mile radius,I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere, biggest city with 2 banks is 22 miles away and I tried to get older bills 1-5 -10 etc. with no luck all that's available is the newer bills with the bigger pictures of the presidents.Next city is 67 miles away,I don't get there much, too long of a drive-round trip of 134 miles. Two other cities near by are 75 miles-86 miles one way.I guess I could try some business locally maybe they will have some bills.
I believe I mentioned I do not want any special dates, serial numbers or anything, just as long as the bills are USA money (not counterfeit) and not to well used.My other half for 54 years and myself are both over 70 and don't drive far or get out much except for grocery shopping and doctor visits. The mail is mostly my only option and good luck when it happens and if it comes my way.I'll toast to luck and an Irish Blessing " My the wind always be at your back and you be in heaven before the devil knows you're gone." gasman96

Ask your local bank to save the older notes for you. IF that does not work check ebay as they do show up. The older designs can be bought for a slight premium on ebay (chcu / uncirculated notes) unless; it's a rare / short run block.

Banks and credit unions usually have anywhere from a few to a few hundred $2s sitting around.

What a surprise to me.I went to the bank Tuesday and asked the teller if she had $2.00 bills and she reached in her drawer and counted out 10 for me.I was surprised, the last time I saw one was in the late 70's so I thought they were not printed any more. I also asked about the older style 5-10-20's etc.she hasn't seen any in years but if she gets any she'll call me.Great day for me.gasman96
