I'm really going nuts with all the so called listings for coin shows. For example tomorrow is one of the larger coin shows in my area yet I can't find it listed on any of the coin show listings anywhere. If I had to go by the listings everyone mentions all the time, I'd miss about 1/3 to 1/2 of all coin shows in my area.
I suspect that may of the members here would go to a coin show if they knew there was one but with such lousy advertising of those shows, mamy people never even know they exist. For tomorrows show I had to contact a deaeler I know sells there to make sure it is still on. I sure wish someone, somewhere, somehow could either make or find a coin show listing that is complete, accurate and up to date.
Just ranting due to frustrationss in this situation.

What I don't understand is why the dealers don,t push for better advertising. After all it costs money to get table space. Obviously, the dealers want to make that back and then some.
We have one here every 2nd Sunday of the month. But, to tell the truth I've only been a couple of times in the past year. I am going to start going more often this year. Who knows what I could be missing. Maybe I'll invite Amida17 to go with me.

Because for advertising, it takes $ to make $. And if you don't advertise just right, you can really lose it bad. Most coin shops don't exactly have all that $ to spend either... But they should...

True but it cost absolutely nothing for dealers to tell the ones putting on the shows to make sure they are advertised.
At todays coin show I asked several dealers why this show is almost a secret and not advertised. All basically said the same thing. I thought they, the show adminestrators, were doing that.
