I decided to clean up at the skate park after work yesterday morning. Kids and pennies. They just don't go together. Anyway I spent 4 and 1/2 hours picking up surface finds and digging. At least half of the pennies were surface finds. Let's just say HoosierDaddy got dirty and a sore back. Here's the coins and the usual junk. That ProPointer is a life and back saver...kinda.

After seperated and then rinsing off the dirt, sand, and mud from the coins, here's what I got:

153 pennies/15 nickels/23 dimes/12 quarters. 203 coins/$7.58

That's a pretty good score! My best day was somewhere around $4.50. Too bad you didn't find any rings with all that trash you dug. That park must be a lot cleaner now:).

Nice work! I can't believe how many pennies I see laying around after the snow melted.

it's really disheartening to see how nature kills the zinc cents so quickly.....great day though. Anything older, like silver or wheaties?

I cannot wait to get my new machine....I really intend to get some stick time this summer.

I did find one wheat, a 56D. This park is old enough to have some silver, you just have to wade through the other newer stuff to get to it. Oh, and the junk, too! I got out again at a different spot. I'll post some pics and numbers later....another penny-fest!

203 coins is my new record for numbers. But the pennies! I got big goals. I want a necklace strung with lots of gold rings!

Next goal is a 300 coin day.
Then 400!
Then 500!
Then a new deeper machine!
