Here's another India (5 Rupees) Error Brockage that has me stumped, as I have never viewed a brockage over a normal strike with edge fining on both sides... I'm not sure what side of the coin is struck by the hammer die, but assuming the dated side is the hammer die side, this coin/planchet would have been seated in the anvil die and struck normal, it would of had to failed to eject and a struck coin would have had to enter the coin chamber on top of this coin, leaving the reverse brockage over the coins date... The coins reverse is a sharp in collar strike (1st photo)... Should anyone have a different theory how this was made, please comment...
