*** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***So I know there is a 92 CAM Lincoln Cent. But, are all other 92's WAMs? Thanks for any input.

Well ... by definition all the others have to be WAM ... not sure of the true question in your post? Sooo ... 1992 was the transition year whereby the mint changed the reverse design for their proof coins to have a Close AM (CAM) ... all circulation strike coins were intended to be minted with the traditional LMC WAM reverse. Mistakes must have happened .... and a few 1992-P and 1992-D cents were circulation struck with the CAM reverse ... last I heard the current estimate is 30 or so total 1992 CAM discovered and validated from both mints combined. If roll searching ... 1992 WAM is what you should expect to find. Not sure if this answers your inquiry or not. David

I think there's three varieties... the CAM, the WAM and the Far WAM. At least I can quickly identify all three on the reverse of 1992 cents... well, except for the CAM, I haven't seen one yet.

There's a '92-D CAM, as well. Normal '92s and '92-Ds are WAMs. No varieties on the '92-S, far as I know.

Last I heard, 2 92-P's, 16 92-D's have been graded and certified. Never heard of this one.

Excellent answers. I guess I was trying to gauge how close is close and how wide is wide. Make sense? Me either. Haha but I understand what I am looking at/for with the 92 lincolns

Find any 1993-2008 coin and that is the reverse you are looking for on a '92 (unless one of the one's you happen to grab is a WAM).

Quote: Last I heard, 2 92-P's, 16 92-D's have been graded and certified. That comports with what I read, too, that the Ds are the more common. Of course, they're both just as scarce to me; ain't found a one. Edit: Forgot to insert the quote I was replying to.

I'll try to remember to pull a few examples of '92's to show what I think is a slight difference in dies. It might just be a trick on the eyes, but I will swear there is three different spacing configurations.
