I figure if your new to bullion/coins, how can you go wrong with good ol fashion Engelhard/Johnson or Pamp gold. It will only increase in value IMO, in the next couple of years. Well done, great start....

So let me see if I kept an accurate track correct please if I lost count, you now have 45 oz of silver an 1 oz, an 1 gram of gold, some of the best of each product you can get, certified, I like it a lot....

nice silver and gold! I think you shouldn't have bought a 1 oz gold bar...........whenever I buy, I also look at liquidity. A few 1/4th oz gold eagles would be easier to liquidate vs a 1 oz bar. Same with 10 10oz silver bars vs a 100 oz silver bar. However you should buy what you like and if your happy then thats all that matters. Keep stacking!

Thanks mkman123 - The plan is to start a Pamp gold collection. I don't know why - I just like them. The only strict rule I have is it must have a certificate (no loose gold bars of any kind - that's just me).

I wanted to get the 1 oz bar out of the way. Then start collecting other Pamp (or Engelhard) Gold bars of different weights. All while trying to keep an eye on the premium for the smaller bars!

There are no liquidity issues with 1 oz gold bars. They sell like hotcakes every day. Now if you have the cash to buy 10oz or kilo gold bars? Those have much smaller markets but even they are readily saleable to any large PM dealer at melt price as long as they are from major refiners or have certified assays.

My final update for the weekend. I went back for the 3rd day in a row but this time only for a few hours. The dealers there are fully aware of my silver / gold mission :)

This time I only picked up 4 Engelhard Prospector's and 2.5 Grams of Gold. Giving me a final tally of 68 oz of Silver and 1 oz - 3.5 grams of pure 999.9 Gold! I appreciate everyones advice & input!
