He was already trying to throw the 2 dollar bills at her before she could even decide to take it. Especially after saying "here is a $50 gold coin" over and over and over... He looked like he was about to jump out of his car to get it back... I wonder what the situation would've been if she only took it, I hope the manager would've said "tough luck buddy!"

Good luck at the Taco Bells around here. Last time I paid in halves for a small order the cashier carefully checked all the dates one at a time before popping them in the drawer. I wanted to high-five her. Glad some folks are informed.

I've also seen a few of Mr. Dices other escapades with gold coins. The point he is failing miserably to make is quite valid, but his approach is just as sad and absurd.

As mentioned, it is sad U.S. citizens don't know their own coin and currency.

It is also sad for Mr. Dice to expect people to not be suspicious when they won't take his gold coin. Come on, what lunatic would knowingly spend that coin for a 99ยข item. And he does specifically state in detail, more than once, that it is a 1 ounce gold coin.

At that point, fake or stolen would be running through my mind. Or a schizophrenic lunatic is on the loose...

E for Excellent!

I worked there 4 years and I still eat there. It's not authentic mexican food by any stretch but there's nothing wrong with it... well at least not as compared to any other fast food chain.

They all use ammoniated beef, so any of them are bad...but I don't believe for a second that Taco Bell is any better or any worse than any of your other drive-thru choices.

yeah, that's alex jones at the end there, and therefore I assume that the guy in the video is endorsed by jones.

be wary of these people, very wary. they tell many truths packed in lies, but mostly exaggerations and lies meant to work us all into some fever pitch.

obviously, the fed and, for that matter, any national bank is antithetical to american principles, but this guy is an elitist snob in a populist's clothing. he treats the girl like she's some plebian brat, while for all he knows she's working her way through school at one of the few remaining low-tech jobs out there.

Gotta wonder if he tried that stunt more than once before he got the reaction he was after and if anyone took his money. I'm sure there is no way he is gonna throw that coin away to try to prove his point, he'd probably head right in there and get his coin back if anyone took it but you wouldn't see that part.

I know I'd be thinking it was a fake if I was in her shoes.

You may well be right there but just who is telling anyone what all the US coins are? They don't teach coinage in schools. I never hear anyone in stores discussing all the different types of coins. Basically it's only on coin forums people even mention a $2 bill. I never see them anywhere. Even when I ask for one at a bank, they usually tell me they don't carry them.
And try to spend a Half Dollar today. You eather get starred at of get comments like what is this supposed to be.
Might be wrong but I don't think the greatest majority of US people do know all forms of coins and currency here.

And so ends my desire to go there today.

Things are no different anywhere else, one member has documented his inability to spend or deposit a modern (as in minted this year) 20 dollar Canadian silver coin. I myself have faced suspicion and rejection trying to pass Canadian one and two dollar bills to younger people working cash registers.

This clown's approach was obviously to harass these poor people and for that I label him "jerk" (this is a family board), not to make any legitimate point about US currency.

For the record, I've never had any problem passing two dollar bills in the northern US over about 30 attempts. Sometimes people look twice, had the odd one go under the black light, but no rejection at all.
Rest in Peace

Were we listening to different videos? At no point did I hear him say $50, $1400, or any other dollar amount. I did hear him say "ounce" twice before she took the FRNs.

Probably the lady on the window thought that this moron was trying to spend a collectible coin that he got from his parents, and just told him to keep it as a collection

I totally agree...the guy is a "jerk". What was he trying to accomplish? If he wanted to make the point that people are not aware of the value of gold coins or any other dollar coins for that matter, he could have used an Ike or Peace/Morgan dollar and still make his point. But of course, that would not give him the pleasure of showing off his 1-oz GOLD coin...I'm sure he found a garbage bin for that Taco that did not suit his "golden taste". Give the Taco to the homeless guy by the freeway exit...much better, give away your 1-oz American Eagle too! What an arrogant moron.
