As has been pointed out I know about... exactly nothing concerning coins from down south.

What exactly is the finish used on the "Uncirculated Coin Set" in evelopes for 2000 from the P and D mints? Are these the same as the finish on coins that went into rolls? Do the State Quarters they contain in them qualify for "MS" grades or are they something different like some type of non circulating grade? Further... does this finish vary from year to year?

Many thanks for sorting me out.

IIRC...

Unc sets are the same strike as circulation coins (Business strike) but received better care after striking than the business coins did.

2005-2010 had satin finish. 2000 should be regular strike

GRR nailed it. And as of this 2011 set, there will be no more Satin Finish again

OK so a business strike. Most excellent, thank you very much. Also, thanks for letting me know it went Satin for some years as well.
