My computer is only 4 years old but pales in comparison to new stuff. Even this 63 year old had an inkling of what he was saying. Go ahead and experiment with what ever you want. Best answer I can give is if there's a way to either make coins artistically, like Carr (who IIRC, strikes over existing coins) striking them with dies he created, or any other means, someone out there is doing it. Private mints now have the ability to turn out flawless proofs and correct-weight fakes. With silver prices being what they are, how long will it be before millions of silver plated ounces of copper are sold to small-time speculators? Are dealers going to have to insist on filing a notch and acid testing every round they buy? Report this Post to the Staff

I finally found it again. I call it my 1993 "Pollock Penney" and I'm keeping it. I'll bet some "Hobo Nickler" spent a lot of time on it but finally gave up. I think it's neat! I HUMBLY ASK that I be given a second chance in the hearts of those I offended. I did a miserable job of wording my question and then I misunderstood and reacted to SAP's kind response.
