Nice coin, well worth keeping, but not worth much.

10 million struck, the last year of issue before the changeover to decimal currency. Because they never saw much circulation with this date, they always turn up in high condition.

We have little enough activity in the Australian grading section, I thought I'd better move this one here.

I don't think it quite qualifies for Unc, not in Australia anyway. I'd rate it AU.

I never understood why, but the 1964 displayed a lot of variation in colour, from the time that they were first issued.

I would have to agree with Sap with the AU condition due to the few light marks on the high points of the coin. Not worth a heap but still a nice coin!

Beautiful coin, is that the large size? I have a 1938 Aust. cent with the king on it, that's over an inch wide and heavy. Same reverse. Cool.

NyBird: Australian pennies were all the same size from 1911 to 1964;
no issues in 1965;
then the "new money" was introduced in 1966.
