I have just come across a 1681 13 String Irish Half Penny in my coin collection, I haven't been unable to find a lot of information on this coin, is there any interest in this coin, is it worth pursuing any further. I can provide pictures if need be.

Your coin appears to be a 1681 Charles II (Restoration) Irish halfpenny. According to my Seaby catalogue:
Armstrong and Legge's Regal Coinage. Large Lettering variety.
Coin was issued 1680, 1681 and 1682. The 1681 is the most common date. I would place a approx. $15.00 to $25.00 value.
There is no reference to string count variation.

I hope this helps. Kieran.
