Looking at my Red Book (2009 62nd ed. ) The 1960P small date is listed at $7.00 in MS-65. Now in the March 2011 Coin Prices magazine it is listed at $12.00 in MS-65. Did it really jump by $5.00 in only 2 years? If so why?

Red Book is not very good for prices, they are only very approximate values. $12 seems a little low for a 65, but not far off.

Thad the $12 seemed closer to me. Just got confused because I always though Red Book was about 20% high! First time I've seen it lower than what I thought was Fair Market value.
Rest in Peace

2009 RB was assembled early 2008, too.

I remember one year, the RB showed a proof set at $6. The dealer buying price bluebook, which came out later in the year, listed them at $9.
