Was searching some lincolns and found this one. The date and mm both appear to have doubling on the north, or is it a shadow. These are the best photos I could get. Any thoughts? Thanks

Let's see if I've learned anything. Has to be MD because 1. It can't appear on both the mint mark and date.
2. Shelf like look

Don't beat me up too much guys.

Instead beating you up , I got to say thank you amida17...you gave the answer for a few 1969-S of mine like this.

Im wondering if this 1970-S is also MD or a real DDO?

Only until 1990.If it has doubling on the date and MM from 1990 on, it could be a doubled die because that's when the mint started adding the MM to the master die.And the 1970-S looks like MD to me.

Thanks for the confirmation on the MD. I guess its time for a refresher reading on die doubling, rpms, ...... So much information and too little a brain.
