Was searching some lincolns and found this one. The date and mm both appear to have doubling on the north, or is it a shadow. These are the best photos I could get. Any thoughts? Thanks
Quote: Has to be MD because 1. It can't appear on both the mint mark and date.
Only until 1990.If it has doubling on the date and MM from 1990 on, it could be a doubled die because that's when the mint started adding the MM to the master die.And the 1970-S looks like MD to me. John1
Thanks for the confirmation on the MD. I guess its time for a refresher reading on die doubling, rpms, ...... So much information and too little a brain.
