What is it called when the image on the reverse side of a coin seems to be showing through in certin places on the obverse side?
And,would the "show through" have any bearing on the value of the coin?

It sounds like you are talking about a die clash. That's when the dies strike each other without a planchet in between. This transfers the image to the opposite die.

I appreciate learning about this coin stuff. Thanks for explaining that process to me. I can't wait until I am able to actually post the photos of this coin. I want people who know the value of unusual errors on coins, to see it. You'll enjoy studying this thing.
