I found 3 coins in my first 5 days of coin collecting... 1970-S small date ,1890 dollar coin, 1879 in great shape dollar coin, and a V cent 1904 coin... I was wondering if any of you guys have any insight on whether I should sell them or keep them considering their my first finds

I still have my first finds and I don't ever think I'll let them go even if a replacement or upgrade comes along. Sentimental value.

I'd keep them. That's a good start to build on.

I had to check since I thought I said that.
And I've still got them from 1943.

My family has helped a little with the finds... The 1890 and 1879 were both gifts from ny great uncle who is a huge collecter and the 1904 v cent was my dads.. The 1970-s was in my piggy bank from when I was 5

They are a great start to a collection, so don't sell, you'll always have the coins to remember them by. I have a couple of worn silver dollars that my poppop gave me that most people would call junk silver, but they remind me of the great times I had with him. Sentimental value.

Defiantly keepers! I would put them in a special place of honor as my collection expands.

There are three types of finds for coin collectors. First finds, latest finds and everything in between. Keep those as part of your collection in a special place. Good Luck
