At his Jr. High school sticking out of the dirt. Anyone know anything about it, or if it's of any value? It's obviously Mexican, and appears to be a bicentenial of sorts. I also think it's silver, and has its weight listed at 27 7/9 G on the reverse.

I dont know about the coin but instead of making multiple posts you can just click on the pencil and paper icon and edit the first post until you get it correct instead of making 3 or 4 posts trying to get it right, there is also a trash can icon in the tool bar up top above where you type that will allow you to delete the post all together, but it may not be there after someone posts a responce like I am doing now, but something to keep in mind for next time

Hi Paratrooper

Last one I bought here at a gun show was $7.00 of course I think the lists at $8.00 in UNC,, But that can vary a bit based on Bullion prices.

I'm not much of a grader. But looks to me like a VF or EF? I'm guessing about $5.00 or so. I'll let him know it has a nominal monetary value. Still pretty cool just to find sticking out of the dirt.

It is cool to find something like that by eyeball,, I'm a metal detectorist and I would flip to find coins like that with my detector !!

I think your about right on value at the moment,, but the value can change with the price of silver.

What's the coolest thing you've found? Any pictures of it?

Also, that sounds like a fun hobby. Do you have to be painstakingly patient? What's the best places to look?
