US Mint First Day Covers Packaging - To Open Or Not?

I apologize for the thread necromancy (or is that "narcolepsy"? whatever. It's certainly putting some of you to sleep.)

However this being my 4,000th post I thought it fitting to revisit my 1st post some 3.5 years ago. Thanks to all CCF members for the insight on this and many other topics, as well as engaging discussion, advice, and camaraderie. This truly has become a home away from home for me. And sometimes a home while I'm at home. I've learned more than I can quantify, and of course that just means there's much, much more to learn.

In another post you can see pics of what my solution was for storage/display of the FDCCs discussed above. I don't want to incur the wrath of the mods by committing thread necromancy AND cross-posting in the same post, so I'll leave it at that.

What started out as an innocent post about a casual hobby has exploded into utter OCD nonsense. Awesome.

And thanks Bobby for making this forum possible in the first place. And thanks mods for keeping it sane around here.
