Looking for some advice.
I purchased this PCGS storage box off ebay on 9/16
I still have not received it. The seller said they shipped it. How long do you think I should wait? I sent 2 e-mails asking to verify if it was sent and they keep assuring me it was. Here is the link to the auction.

Any recommendations on if I should give negative feed back?
Rest in Peace

Tim, it's probably not worth the hassle of trying to get your money back. The boxes can be purchased from PCGS for $4.25 last I checked, but I think one may need to be a PCGS Collectors' Club member. If it doesn't arrive in another week or so, let me know and I'll send you one, no charge. I've got a few extra. I didn't know they were a sellable item on ebay. Maybe I'll list a couple.

As far as the feedback, did the seller send it with Delivery Confirmation or even get a receipt from the Post Office? Given that it's a relatively inexpensive item, it might not be worth the risk of a retaliatory neg feedback, especially since he's in contact with you, so I wouldn't give him any feedback.

I quit giving negatives no matter how bad the transaction is or how bad I got robbed. They only leave a retaliatory negative. So now, if it goes bad I just don't leave any feedback at all and blacklist them. The only 3 negatives I have are from retaliatory negative feedback for leaving negative first. Sad but true.

I'd agree there. Call it an 8 dollar lesson and cross them off your list.

Well the good thing is, he left me positive feedback right after I paid. As for delivery confirmation or receipt, he said No. So I will be a little more patient.

Fred, that is very generous of you and may take you up on it. If I do not have the one I bought by the time I get back from Turkey hunting, I will PM you.

I only have 4 PCGS slabbed coins, but I feel that they need to sit in a nice storage box.

Thanks, Tim

If you do, expect a negative in return.

Besides, do you think the USPS ALWAYS gets it right?!!!

As you said, it is fortunate that you have already received your positive feedback from him, so the worst that he can do is give you a follow-up comment, and that doesn't affect your feedback rating.

As to whether you should leave him negative? Well, lets face it, sometimes things do go astray in the post. If you had requested registered postage and paid extra for it and then didn't receive your item, that is different. But with free postage, and with no delivery confirmation or tracking number requested by you, that makes it a little more complicated.

When you corresponded with him, did you get the feeling that he was treating you honestly? Did he reply to your concerns? Or did you get the feeling that he was fobbing you off and didn't really care? This seller already has several negative feedback comments, so it's not as though anything you leave is going to ruin a perfect feedback score! Perhaps give him another week before deciding, as you can leave feedback for up to ninety days after you have made a purchase.

Keep in mind that you can always leave a neutral feedback along with an explanatory comment.

Well, I'm back from my Turkey hunting trip and the Box still has not come

I agree with Snooba, things do go astray in the post. I think I will just leave Neutral feedback. There was an email he sent that had a USPS confirmation number, but when I look it up it says "Item not found"

Morgan Fred, if you still have an extra PCGS Box, I would be more than happy to buy it from you. Let me know.

Thanks for everyones replies.

I think Bobby has a good idea about having separate id's for buying and selling. That way a negative you get for buying doesn't hurt your sales, and vice versa. Some people don't want the hassles, but for others, it probably makes sense.

Tim, please send me your mailing address offlist and I'll drop one into the mail within the next few days. No charge - for me, they're surplus and if someone can find a use for them, I'm happy to pass them along.

Boxes are in the mail, Tim. I sent two - didn't realize I had more extras than I originally thought until I dug them out. I hope you can fill them with MS-66 or better Morgans!

Hi Morgan Fred,
I received the 2 boxes while I was out hunting. Now its time to start filling them. I don't have many pcgs slabbed coins but it sure is nice to put the ones I do have in a home...

Thank you very much.

Tim

Tim, very happy to help a fellow CCer (little double entendre here ). With ANACS new slabs, all three of the biggie TPGs fit in the PCGS box. The old little ANACS slabs are still a problem. I have to sandwich them in between two larger slabs to keep them upright and not mess up the rest of the slabs.
