I have never seen Gold Fever as I see it now. Some people must be buying gold by the GRAIN and paying a hefty premium. For some to realize a profit gold would have to sell for $3800.00. The local coin shop owner told me that type of advertisement is good for his business. When people are high balled and are still shopping they will accept a fair price. He also has started a layaway buying program that is growing his business. You young collectors have plenty of time to make good investments. Don't be misled by the TV or inter-net ads. LOL

I think those cash for gold commercials are working both ways in terms of popularity for PM's. In most cases, people dont pay attention to those infomercials, and right it off as some kind of gimmick (which it is).

But at the same time, it sort of kicks in that hmm I wonder how much those 24k gold ear rings are valued at.. and then you go deep into the world of PM's :)

Heirlooms or family jewels are being sold at a very fast rate. My son is buying scrap GOLD and old jewelry Thur an ad in the local paper. The response is more than expected.

Fancy buying gold by the grain !!

About 2,500 tonnes of new gold are mined annually. Someone else in the CCF can calculate the value of that against the current spot price.

Gold is the 19th most abundant element in the Earth's crust.

In his area there are a lot of retirees and out of work space workers. They must read the paper as with him it is only the paper and word of mouth. I know business is business but when you can turn $8000.00 to a six figure number in 7-8 month with really no experience dealing in gold jewelry, something is really happening. Our economy must not be recovering as expected.
