I was reading about the 88 reverse of 89 variety Lincoln Cent. It mentioned something about the reverse initials also being found on the 1998, 1999 and 2000. should I be checking the initials for this when searching, seperately of the WAM's, or do the WAM's contain the reverse intials? was not sure if these were seperate varieties or if all WAM's contain the reverse initial or what?

One in the same. The initials are used as a diagnostic to confirm the reverse.

FG is the designers initials. The location is used to confirm a WAM because they are located closer to the memorial than on a close (normal) AM. On the 88 RDV-006, the G is distinctly different from the RDV-005 (normal) design found on the 88.All of the memorial cents have the initials FG.

But, that makes it sound like the WAMs are different from the '88 RDV-006. They are the same design.

The same WAM and initials you look for on '98-00, is the same reverse you are looking for on '88's. In other words, "the reverse of 89" is the WAM reverse.
