Use Irfanview resize/resample to 500*500 pixels.

Hard to tell from photos but those look like typical MS 60 - 62 roll coins with possibly an AU slider or two in the mix

Your first image, and the bottom-right coin of the group of six obverses you posted, have the hallmark of polishing. What I'm looking for here is unnatural brightness on the jaw and cheek - areas which should never be "shiny" on even a circulated coin.

With that said, I'm afraid the images you've posted aren't sufficient to make a determination, or even a theory. It's very, very difficult to determine cleaning sometimes, even in excellent photographs, because there are so many ways to light a coin and so many different cameras with different characteristics to image them.

SuperDave - I suspect that is just his camera most of the pictured coins seem to have good cartwheel which is not something I'd expect to see on a heavily polished AU coin.

My gut feeling (because the images aren't conclusive) is that this roll has some true MS pieces in it and some cleaned/polished as well.

Thanks to everyone who took a look at the photos and posted their opinions. I realize it's hard to give a definitive opinion as to whether or not the coins have been cleaned without better photos.

For future postings, when I'd like to share images with the group, I'm going to take the time to learn how to save images with a third party image hosting site, and then post the link to that site.

I really appreciate the time everyone has taken to offer their opinions and guidance. In the meantime, because there seems to be enough doubt as to whether or not some of these coins have been cleaned, I think I will return the roll to the seller, and next time I'll be a little more cautious when I make a purchase of this magnitude.

Thanks again, and I look forward to participating on this forum in the future.

Chris
