I thought I was getting a deal when I won this at auction last week but I didn't realize how good of a deal I got till now, the winning bid this for $10. I originally just liked it because it looked to be in perfect shape especially for a 1936. I can't find any surface marks or imperfections but I don't know if it is worth sending in or not. Can you tell me what you think from these pictures? The obverse is blurry but I didn't want to chance taking it out of its 2X2, but I think this is a good one of the reverse. Would you send this in to be graded? I am really finding this site useful and informative and I thank all you for your help.

to CCF!

Although the obverse is blurred, I see some wear on the Eagle's breast and head. Where you should be able to see more feather details.

For the S mint mark, I think you got a good deal.

I'd put the grade at VF-30

Great coin!

Just out of curiosity, what's the black area around the mint mark? Is it just the way the photo shows it, or dirt only in that area?

Looks to be in the EF-AU range. It's not really worth sending in but a good buy and real nice coin for your collection!
