ldarrell - Hi, looks to me like a small die chip about identical in size to the II-E-2 die break illustrated in the North American Coins and Prices Guide. They refer to them as Level 1-3 rarities and indicate they add ten cents to $2 to the value of the coin.

I think the popularity of the State Quarter series would move the Texas quarter to the upper end of the scale - PROVIDED the coin is MS or nice AU.

This is exactly what is underneath the letter I in the 2006 nickel I posted on a recnt thread. I have several of these in unc. condition.

i am not good at grading coins but I would say it is in au condition or better
