Hi
I wanted to open a new thread and find others who collect or are interested in Sample Slabs. They come from all the TPG and as fare as I know from others no longer in business. I have been collecting samples for a while now and it is funny how I got started. Completely by mistake, I will tell you about it sometime, and boy do I feel dumb. I will share pictures of my samples and I encourage you to do the same. My main goal here is to see just how many people collect them. And enjoy them as much as I do. and here ia a great website. http://sampleslabs.com/pcgs.html
Maybe we can trade or compare coins and storeys.
So if you collect sample slab's or find them interesting PLEASE join in.
Thanks
All the Best
Alan

Here is the one sample that I own. Think I paid a dollar or two for it. Your link was helpful.

It's called a fatboy, because they are approximately 40 % thicker than the new NGC slabs.
From what I understand they are getting hard to find. I just payed $ 20.00 for a 1959.
Also the colour of the box around the info can make difference, green is the more expensive.
I'm going to post a few pictures of mine as well. I have a Swiss 1/2 Frank which is quite rare,
it was when PCGS first started grading World coins, and this was the slab they used to show off their coins
It is on the website same number as mine
Thanks for jumping in
I'm still very new at this myself
All the very best
Alan
