When I go to the bank to get rolls, I just ask for a box and they bring me one. Can I get customer wrapped rolls just by asking or do I have to ask for them specially? Do most banks carry these, or does it vary?
Thanks

It all depends on the bank..

Some banks prefer to get rid of their customer-wrapped rolls..

Some banks might send all the CWR's right back to the fed..

It just depends.. Don't be afraid to ask!

If I want CWR I just ask for any amount under $25. They usually will get rid of those first. I usually get $10 at a time at various banks when looking for customer wrapped rolls. Then I mark which bank they came from in case I stumble on a good find and want to go back for more.

If I'm searching dimes, it's usually no problem picking up $800-1500 between 3 banks, bi-monthly. I find that some branches never have any cwr's to give up. Just ask around.
