It's NGC FIRST STRIKES MS-69 2006 Gold Buffalo, purest gold coin minted by the US Gov. The pics came out alright for being in a plastic case... Got to use Photoshop CS2 aswell.

After I bought this coin, I was thinking: The price of the coin, being that it's graded and all was decent I think. From now on I will not be buying graded gold coins. I am buying it for the gold, not the grade. I do however have a thing for the graded Silver Eagles, and they are CHEAP comapred to Buffalos. LOL This buffalo put me in the poor house. LMK know what you guys think and if anyone is collecting Buffalos.

EDIt: Here is a 1921 Morgan I cleaned with Twinkle() what a NOOBBBBB!

If you are looking for gold, then you could buy the bullion buffaloes at this site. I have bought a few from them. Don't buy and collectible coins, though because they will try and overcharge you (ask me how I know! ):

This is the cheapest online site I've found price wise. They charge $25 for shipping and insurance.

You could buy the bullion coins and then send them to be graded if you want to see if you get lucky, but it costs quite a bit to do that and who knows what grade you will get.

For buying gold, I'd go with a graded older coin which will increase in value, or buy bullion, ungraded modern coins (eagles or buffaloes).

Thanks I'm going to check out that link right now. I wanted atleast one graded gold coin, and this Buffalo was actually a gift from my father. The rest of my gold is just plain ole' 1/10th Eagles, a couple coins from bermuda, and one Credit Suisse bar. For next while I want to get as many 1/10th Eagles(BU from rolls) as I can because they are the lowest cost form of gold bullion. They are not .9999 but, close enough right? I'm going to collect 1/10th Eagles until I have every year since 86'.
