Sorry, team, I'm not sure I can be much help - my references have a gap from ~1460 to 1601.

Saxony (Sachsen in German) was a geographical region in what is now eastern Germany and western Poland. At this point in time, Saxony was divided between two branches of the ruling house, the Electors and the Dukes. The coin here (TwoKopeiki's coin looks like a fair match) mentions both Saxon rulers, so it's presumably a joint issue of some kind.

The two rulers are Johann Friedrich, Elector of Saxony and Henry IV, Duke of Saxony.
