Got out this afternoon for another 2 hour hunt. Got chased away by some rain. This hunt was at another one of my favorite hunting spots. I ended up hitting 20 or so pennies before I hit any clad. Also, I may have got ring #2 for the year. Looks silver, maybe a toe ring. Got it in about 4 inches. The outside of the ring is reeded like a dime. You can see it in the picture. When I first saw it in the hole, I thought I had a silver dime.

Well here's the usual coins and junk. I did hit a boy scout's whatchamacallit for his hankerchief...guys help me.

Here's a better shot of the possible ring! The edges and rim is very smooth like a ring. I could be wrong.

Here's the keeper stuff. The clad, possibl ring, and the cub/boy scout hingy.

Have you tried using a magnet, and are there marks on the inner ring to show any type of silver content? Nice haul. I am looking forward to the weather improving so I can get started for the year. I detected a piece of round steel, thinking only just a circle of steel with a mark in the inner ring, then found out that it was an engineers ring, it had an engineers mark on the inside, so this could end up being something important. Good luck.

Yep...not magnetic...was thinking aluminum, too. But it was 4 inches deep and no tarnish oxidation at all. I'm thinking cheap toe ring.
