Just wanted to share my cool new greek. It is a 2nd - 3rd century Pantikapion, Thrace AE 15mm
Obv: head of short haired, beardless male left
Rev: PANT beneath bow and arrow

It seems that a lot of nice coins came from this area.

Yours has a very heavy patina on the obverse but judging from the nostril protruding out it looks to have some nice detail underneath.

There are some other examples here on Wildwinds if you if you care to scroll down through the coins to see them. Some of them have PAN without the T like yours seems to.

Doucet, thanks for your feedback. This coin does have some heavy patina. I received this coin uncleaned. I only needed to do some light cleaning to atribute it:) I like the heavy patina. For me it adds to the "ancient" part of it's history. And I did not want to risk ruining my cool new coin.
