Just wanted to share some pictures of some coin I scored today.
I fished the Large Penny out of my moms change jar.
I purchased a roll of 1968 silver quarters, and 2 50 cent coins
off a friend.
And I got $50 in nickels from the bank today and got 136 pure nickel
nickels, and this nice 1927 one! Very nice condition!

Nice!

Did you confirm the '68 quarters with a magnet?

Every last one of them!
Anyone have any comments on the 1927 nickel? How common are these?

I thought it was pretty cool willy! It was only my second roll hunt, and my first only turned up 20 nickel ones. I have 10 rolls in total. I'm lucky to be employed at a bingo hall, our transactions consist of thousands of sales under $5 every day so, as you can imagine, we get all kinds of change coming through. I'm just a little ticked that, after 5 years working there, I just discovered this whole world of coin hunting. Imagine the things that have slipped through my hands, without the slightest thought of looking through it first! I honeslty lose sleep thinking about these days hahaha.

I had a Sweet Score several weeks ago on E-bay! A seller (well known and a Professional Numismatist) had an I.C.C.S., 1947, MS-65 quarter for sale on a BUY IT NOW auction. Seller obviously made a fatal error on the price and listed it at $125.00 Can$.
I had been hunting for this coin to finish off my King George quarter collection in MS-65 and this was the last one I needed in that grade.
Knowing the trend price was $1,200.00 I knew that it had to be a typo on the seller's part and I had no guilt feelings whatsoever. Without hesitation I activated the buy it now icon and the coin was mine. I made payment and within a week I was holding this Gem in my hand!

talk about a sweet score!
