Need larger and more detailed pictures to make an accurate grading. Also, cannot see if it has a mint mark or not with these pictures. Sydney Mint coins value a little higher. From these pictures, it is perhaps a London coin.

when you say "quite small", it makes me wonder ... your pic has no scale; so please tell us the diameter.

I enclose a size comparison along side a 5p, could this be a sovereign because thats what is says on the wallet, it is much smaller, as can be seen to a normal sovereign

I don't believe this is a sovereign and it doesn't't look like gold either... some sort of token?

I don't have the reference to hand, but I'm fairly sure that this is a Lauer toy money piece.

Just checked and I have two 1887 sovs, one young head Sydney variety and one jubilee head. alganbagerap, think you could be on the money.
Incidently what do you think these two are worth?
