I was playing the FaceBook Pawn Stars game tonight. I was tickled that I had a 1932-S quarter in my inventory. Then I saw this option:

Coin-Funny---Pawn-Stars-The-Game

"A cleaned up item will be worth a lot more when you sell it."

or should I say

The question is, if you do chose to have it cleaned, do they actually rate it at a higher value when you go to sell it or when you try to sell it do you get a message that your actually ruined the coin and greatly reduced the value by cleaning it? It could be a teaching tool. Play the game a find out your game coins became junk and maybe they won't clean their real ones.

Although they showed a coin, what he says is true of cars though. Same with a house, boat, flashlight, pair of shoes, suite of cloths, piano, tennis racket, etc.
It is odd that really old stuff, coins for examplt, are worth more if not cleaned. Guess that is similar to an Egyptian Mummy, right?
